Are parents the blame?

There are many things that cause childhood obesity, but there are also many ways for it to be prevented and controlled as well. Childhood obesity is an unhealthy issue that needs to end. This horrible epidemic can end if the parents be more involved in their children life regarding their health. If parents pay closer attention to what kind of food and how much their children intake, and limit their children television and video game time, I have no doubt that the rate of childhood obesity would decrease. I’m not saying that parents are the blame for the problem, but they could be a huge help to try to end this epidemic. Our generation is told to be the unhealthiest generation yet. If parents start a good diet and exercise pattern for children when they’re younger, it will most likely carry on with them into their teenage years and they will less likely become an obese adult. With healthier children, we will develop a healthier generation and longer lives.
